I did
not know such love existed,
Gentle
and fragrant beyond all words,
A dream
I never hoped to realize,
Where souls
speak and performances end.
God sent
you into my life when all my patterns
of blindness
and need had been established,
When I
walked the same road again and again
for love
I never got,
When I
chose some pseudo-strength that ultimately
sought
to control me and destroy my freedom,
When security
became more important
than life and love!
We were
orphans together grown secretly strong,
both abandoned
by cruel manipulation,
Not really
able to believe
that we had found each other.
I thought
life had no meaning,
that there was only
endless
emptiness,
and I distrusted all that was
feminine
and strong.
All I know
is that love does exist.
That a
day and night with you
are worth
all the pain,
And that the love that began
so shyly,
so cautiously,
Can last forever!
