In Your Mirror
I stepped into the other side of your mirror today.
I watched you look into your mirror.
I heard you speaking of all your fears
As I watched you wipe away your tears.
I hear you say..."Why does it have to be this way?"
You stand alone in front of your mirror
Thinking nobody knows, nobody can see
It's just a reflection of me.
If you only knew I was on the other side.
As you look into your mirror, saying...
"Where can I go hide, where is my pride?"
Oh! How I see deep into your sad, lonely eyes
And all the tears you've cried.
You stand there so alone and say...
"What happened to yesterday,
When I was happy, when I was young,
So full of love, so full of fun?"
I see you on the other side
As you say..."Why did he take it all away?
No feelings... only pain, no happiness... only sadness,
No love, only loneliness. So empty inside."
I see you looking into your mirror as you say...
"What happened to yesterday?
It's time to pretend, I'll put on my other face
I'll take my place
I'll act happy for just a little while."
My darling, here I am, on the other side
Wishing you would come with me and hide.
